Abstract: This study aimed to identify the effect of a proposed training program for fartlek exercises on some physical, physiological and skill variables for handball players, based on an empirical study where the researchers chose the one-group method, and the study was conducted on a sample of (14) players from the Al-Wafa’ team in Ain And Sarah, who belongs to the active teams at the level of the State Handball Association, and after the application of the training program, the results of the tribal and remote tests were collected for the variables in question (physical, physiological, skill variables), the researchers processed these results statistically using the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient T-test, it was found that there are significant differences with statistical significance in favor of the post tests in the physical variables (maximum speed, and explosive power of the muscles of the two legs), as well as the presence of significant differences with statistical significance in favor of the post tests in the performance of the skill of the drum, as well as the presence of significant differences with Statistical significance in favor of post-tests in physiological variables (resting pulse, heart rate after exertion). Accordingly, the researchers recommended focusing on fartlek exercises when developing experimental curricula because of its positive impact on both physical and physiological variables. Paying attention to the performance of flexibility and stretching exercises before and after each training unit, the need to continue training on special physical abilities during the competition stage to ensure the stability of improving the level of skill performance.
Key words: training curriculum, fartlek method, physical variables, physiological variables, skill variables in handball.
