The effect of an intellectual effort (for arbitration cases) on the electrical waves of the brain and their relationship to the autonomic nervous system of international referees in football

Abstract: The aim of the research is to identify the values of brain electrical waves (alpha-beta) during rest among members of the research sample and after intellectual effort, as well as to identify the values of cognitive testing among the members of the research sample, and to know the impact of intellectual effort (cognitive) on the changes that occur in The values and frequency of the electrical waves of the brain (alpha-beta) among the members of the research sample, knowing the relationship between the values of the cognitive test and the values of the brain electrical waves (the amplitude and frequency of the alpha-beta wave) and the values of the autonomic nervous system (parasympathetic sympathetic) in post-tests.

The researcher assumed that there are statistically significant differences between the values of the brain electrical waves (the amplitude and frequency of the alpha wave) before and after the intellectual effort (cognitive) and in favor of the results of the dimensional values, and there are statistically significant differences between the values of the brain electric waves (the amplitude and frequency of the beta wave) before the intellectual effort (Cognitive) and thereafter in favor of the results of the dimensional values, as well as the relationship of significant correlation between the values of the cognitive test and the values of the brain electrical waves (the amplitude and frequency of the alpha-beta wave) and the values of the autonomic nervous system (parasympathetic sympathetic) in the post-tests.

The fields of research included the human field (3) international referees (square) football accredited to the International Football Association for the football season (2015/2016), and specifies the temporal field from 1/7/2015 to 1/2/2016 and the spatial field: physiology lab Nervousness in the nervous system hospital in Baghdad Governorate.

The researcher reached the following conclusions:

1- The effect of the intellectual effort on the appearance of the alpha wave at a high frequency and a decrease in its amplitude values, which indicates the comfort in the brain waves with a high voltage in the alpha and beta wave.

2- The effect of the intellectual effort on the appearance of a beta wave frequency accompanied by an increase in the values of its amplitude that indicates the burdens and the high efforts accompanied by a high voltage, which creates a state of extreme caution when using these efforts.

3- He found a high correlation relationship between the frequency of the beta brain wave and the parasympathetic section due to the increase in the activity of the involuntary functions responsible for energy production and metabolism.

4- He found a high correlation relationship between the sympathetic section and the parasympathetic section, because the subjects of the research sample are those with higher levels who have higher adaptations and are characterized by a slower heart rate and a decrease in the rate of blood pressure and breathing.

5- A high correlation relationship was found between the sympathetic section and the cognitive aspect of the fact that the members of the research sample are those with higher levels who have higher adaptation.
