A brief summary of the research
intelligence of the Iraqi Football
Premier League referees

Abstract: The research aims to:
1- Adopting the emotional intelligence scale for football referees prepared by (Al-Yaqoubi and Akhran, 2011).
2- To recognize the level of emotional intelligence of the referees of the Iraqi Premier League in football.
Where the research sample was selected randomly, as it included (160) judgments from the study population, of whom (100) judgments were used for construction, representing (40%) of the total community, and (50) judgments were used for the application and representing (20%) of the total community. And (10) rulers for the exploratory experiment, representing (2.5%) of the total community.
In light of the content of the discussion of the results, the study concluded two conclusions:
1- The emotional intelligence scale was adapted for the referees of the Iraqi Premier League in football.
2- The level of emotional intelligence of the Iraqi Premier League referees with a ball was of a (medium) degree.
The researchers recommended:
1 – Paying attention to the emotional intelligence of football referees and of all grades because of its great importance in the success of referees in leading matches.
2- Conducting similar research and studies on referees of other team games.
3- Establishing training courses concerned with the development of processes beyond the knowledge of emotional intelligence.
4- Supporting the judges ’interest in the mechanisms beyond the knowledge of emotional intelligence during arbitration.
