Abstract

The development occurring in various fields of knowledge in general and in physical education and sports sciences in particular has made the use of modern methods and means in achieving performance and goals essential. Among these sciences is the use of tests and measurements in achievement and high-performance sports, which are among the most effective evaluation tools in enhancing the learning and training process to reach the highest sports levels. Through these methods, one can assess the performance level of players in a specific skill or physical attribute and then set the educational or training curriculum components to ensure continuous development in the players' levels. It can be said that tests and measurements contribute to comparing a player's progress with their own or with other players, as the requirements...Developing the physical aspects of any sport is linked to conducting tests periodically as they serve as a tool to stimulate motivation, excellence, and continuous progress. Their results can be utilized for judgment, evaluation, and guidance regularly. Disabled sports are considered one of the important special sports today due to their significant role in rehabilitating the disabled to achieve high sports accomplishments and raise the name of their countries in international forums. Therefore, countries have focused their efforts on providing equal opportunities for individuals with limited mobility to practice sports and compete with their peers, enriching their lives in the fullest sense, in addition to serving humanity, restoring self-confidence among the disabled, and providing them with suitable opportunities to practice various sports like the able-bodied. Weightlifting for the disabled is one of the Paralympic sports that...It has contributed to the development of sports and the achievement of accomplishments in various championships. Specialists in this field should focus on improving the training domain for the athlete and serving this sports segment. The research problem, based on the researcher's expertise as a specialist in weightlifting for individuals with disabilities, aimed to identify the relationship between explosive strength, maximum strength, and performance by conducting tests for each to provide a clear picture to coaches about these correlational relationships with performance. The research objectives included identifying the correlation between explosive strength, maximum strength, and performance. The sample consisted of 8 young athletes with disabilities. The results were presented, analyzed, and discussed. The researcher concluded that there is a relationship between maximum and explosive strength and performance, and recommended focusing on maximum and explosive strength in training programs.
