The Recreational Culture Scale and its Relationship with Self-Esteem among Workers in Youth and Sports Forums in Iraq

The current research aims to: - Understand the relationship between recreational culture and self-esteem among employees of youth and sports forums in Iraq. The descriptive method was used with both survey and correlational approaches due to the nature of the research. The research sample consisted of (308) individuals. To achieve the research objectives, the researchers developed a recreational culture scale and adopted the self-esteem scale (Salem, 2015), and then verified their validity and reliability. After applying the tool, the data were statistically processed using percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, mode, chi-square, and hypothetical mean. In light of the research results, the researchers reached the following conclusion:- There is a positive moral relationship between recreational culture and self-esteem among the employees of youth and sports forums in Iraq. In light of the research findings, the researchers recommend the following:
1. Encouraging the employees of youth and sports forums in Iraq to use cultural and artistic recreation.
2. The necessity of allocating financial support by the ministry for the employees of youth and sports forums in order to establish cultural and artistic courses, even at the international level.
3. The necessity of using scouting programs aimed at developing the spirit of initiative and social cooperation and increasing camaraderie among the employees of youth and sports forums in Iraq.
